The next-generation iteration of the Honda City C-Segment sedan is likely to make its debut in India Either by late 2019 or early 2020. There have been numerous speculations stating that the new Honda City could launch in India with a hybrid power train option. Not only this, but it is also going to feature, for the first time, an automatic gearbox with the diesel derivative of this sedan. In terms of design, the exterior profile is likely to come with a sportier and edgier aesthetic.

The new-generation 2019 Honda City will be underpinned by a modified version of the current car’s platform. Honda might go on to offer a new version of the 1.5-litre iVTEC petrol engine.

In its current state, the motor outputs a maximum power of 119 PS along with a peak torque of 145 Nm. The current Diesel motor, which has received a lot of flak for its high NVH and mediocre performance, is also likely to receive many updates.
